四 | 去年是新西兰对华出口首次出现下滑（受疫情影响的2020年不算）。其中商品出口大幅萎缩，跟2022年相比减少约17亿纽币。只是靠着大流行后旅游业拉动服务出口，最终对华出口才收窄至只减少5亿纽币。预计中国将在今年上半年取消对新西兰乳制品的全部关税，这被认为将有效提振新西兰对华出口。王毅的来访并不能解决更广泛的宏观经济问题，但足够让两国外交关系重新成为焦点。 Peters说，由于王毅当天与总理和贸易部长的会面时间过长，以至于访问日程超出了预期。他说所有会面的基调都是愉快和互相尊重的。他还强调，中国并没有表示如果新西兰继续研究加入奥库斯协议的话，可能会给贸易带来什么影响。
